famously feigning
fighting and fury
firearms and Fanon
for fear of what
they may inspire
to X out their names
on a long receipt of debts owed
a payback in interest
and double check
no loan forgiven
over blood spilled
in excess,
lemons of life
life squeezed beyond
oblivion
this fine tuned
apparatus has fine tuned
our fury and has famously
feigned our freedom
has called for fear of
our firearms and yet we are
the wretched, the angry hissing
cap at the brink of
a tit for a tat
a reminder of
a madness, of a bright glory
a coming of age
a reminder that the world is
already blind
stirring up trouble…
in facing truth
peacekeepers
aren’t nice guys.
